[00:00:00] I have a lot of people ask me if there’s a way to find virtual assistant clients without having to use social media. Maybe you need a fast from Facebook, you need to step away from Instagram. You’re done with the scrolling, but you’re not sure how to find clients outside of the social media platforms. So in this episode, I’m gonna share with you five ways to grow your virtual assistant business without social media.
[00:00:28] Number one is collaborations. Collaborations or partnerships are a way to connect with other business owners who are in your niche or in a similar niche that you can partner up with. You can maybe do a training in their Facebook group, be a referral partner for each other, or even be a guest on their podcast. So for example, if you are a social media manager and you have a friend who’s a website designer, you can keep an eye out for posts that you can refer them on, and in return they might refer you.
[00:01:00] The second way to avoid social media and find clients is to get back into your local community. Local events are a great way to build your business. Maybe you could get together with some other moms in business, join your local Chamber of Commerce. You could go online and find an entrepreneur’s coffee meetup. Also, there’s a website called meetup.com, and there are so many meetups in small groups that you can attend. It’s really helpful to get back to that face-to-face connection and focus on growing those real, authentic relationships because you could land so many clients that way.
[00:01:36] The third way is to do a referral program. This works really well if you already have some customers or clients in your business with this. You just offered your current clients a referral program where they can potentially get some sort of commission from you by referring your services to other people. So if you have a current client that you did a website for, You can let them know, Hey, if you send a client to me and they get a package over this amount, I will send you 200 bucks. Okay? Typically, if you’re gonna do that, I would recommend, like that new client would have to sign a package of over a grand or more, and then your past client would get that $200 referral bonus from you.
[00:02:21] The next really great way to find clients outside of social media is to utilize SEO. This is search engine optimization. So SEO helps you come up and search results. When people search a specific term, whether it’s on social media, A podcast, your website, wherever. So you can use the keywords that people would be searching for if they need your services, you should use them throughout your content. So on your website, wherever you’re hanging out, you can use that and then Google will start showcasing you when people search those terms.
[00:02:58] The fifth way that you can reach new clients without social media is through podcasting. Podcasting gives your potential clients a really quick win. That way they already have that trust in you. It doesn’t take a lot of time, and it can be repurposed to all the different platforms. Where else can you put out a 20 minute episode and reach 4,000 people instead of maybe, I don’t know, one person that’s gonna see you on social media. It’s scalable, it’s sustainable. It’s really not that hard to do. It’s also something that I can do around my family without having to steal all the extra hours of my week or day. I don’t have to put on makeup. I’m just sitting here in my closet recording this for you. So it’s definitely something that you can do as well. And if a podcast is something you feel called to do, my highly recommend my podcast, coach Stephanie Gas. You can go to stephaniegass.com. That’s S T E F A N I E G A S S. Com, check her out. She has a bunch of amazing programs. She’s really phenomenal. You can also find an affiliate link to her podcast programs in the show notes of this episode. So go check that out.
[00:04:16] Let me recap for you the five ways you can find virtual assistant clients outside of social media. Number one is collaborations. Number two is getting back into your local community. Three is a referral program. Four is utilizing search engine optimization or SEO, and five is starting a podcast. All right, y’all. I hope this episode was helpful. Let me know if you have any questions, and as always, we will see you in the next episode.
