Hey sister-friend. Welcome back to the Ditch the Classroom podcast. Before we jump into today’s episode, which I know y’all are gonna love. I want to extend a special invitation to you. If you are wondering what this freelance virtual assistance thing is, I wanna invite you to my free How to Become a Virtual Assistant workshop. In this workshop, we’re gonna cover what a VA is, what services they can offer, how to figure out what services will be the right fit for you, where to find paying clients so you can replace your income quickly, and the top three mistakes that new virtual assistants make and how you can avoid them. Now, if you’re ready to take that first step and get your feet wet into the virtual assistance world, I wanna invite you to join the Ditch the Classroom Toolkit. This is gonna give you the foundational tools you need to start your business to determine what services you wanna offer, to get your prices set, and to figure out who you wanna work with. However, if you are ready to go full force on this and make this dream a reality, work from home with your babies by your side, in your pajamas, doing whatever you wanna do and loving every minute of it, I wanna invite you to join the Teacher Turned Freelancer Academy. This is your step-by-step program to take your virtual assistant business from zero to 60 from “I need money now” to exceeding your income. And I know, I just know that you can absolutely do this. You just have to take that step.
(03:16):
All right, so in the previous episode that I did on the Four Reasons Why You Haven’t Started Your Virtual Assistant Business, we talked about how so many people are so afraid to start something new. They get hung up in the fear of the unknown, and wanting everything to be perfect. And I want you to know that you can overcome that fear and you can do it with God at your side. So in today’s episode, I’m gonna be sharing some verses for you to stand on and have God by your side and overcome that fear and take that first step, ’cause that first step is always the hardest. So I’ve got some verses to share with you, and then I’m gonna kind of break some of them down for you.
(04:10):
The first one is Isaiah 41:10, “Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed for, I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” So here, I really feel like God is telling us that we don’t need to fear the unknown because he’s got our back. Like he’s gonna be – he’s helping us. He’s upholding us with his right hand. He’s holding us up. We’re not gonna be able to fall with him by our sides. Okay? So you can do this. You just have to grab his hand and hold on tight.
(04:50):
The next one is Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ. Jesus.” Alright. So here, God’s really telling us that when we fear something, we need to come to Him in prayer and give Him our requests of what we need, what we’re asking for, what we’re praying for. And He’s gonna be there to help us. Now. He may not help you in the way that you’re really thinking. I know I was not thinking I was gonna be a virtual assistant or freelancer when I was first praying to get myself out of the classroom, but God had bigger plans. Okay? So He may not give you the exact answer you’re wanting, but He’s going to help you. And it may take a little bit of time, but He will. I promise you.
(05:56):
Alright, the next one is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.” I don’t even have anything to add to that. It’s just too good. Jeremiah 29:11, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope in a future.'” So here, I really feel like our sweet, sweet, sweet Father is telling us, “quit you’re worrying. I know what I have planned for you.” Like, “set it aside. Trust in me. I’ve got you girl.” Okay? So I know that sometimes that can be a little bit hard, but if you just pray on that verse, I really feel like I know God is going to hear that prayer from you. The next one is Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
(07:13):
The next one, Deuteronomy 31:8, “He will never of you nor forsake. You do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged.” If you’re feeling stuck, where you’re at, and you’re scared to take that next step, do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. He has got you. It’s really amazing. How, when we focus on Bible verses about fear, we can combat the enemy’s attacks. ‘Cause fear really is just the enemy. The enemy is here to steal, destroy, and just make things hard on you. And God, God doesn’t want things to be hard on you. He wants – His yoke is light. And if we just rely on Him, then He’s going to get us to that end destination. He has planned for us. And it’s way, way, way better than anything we ever planned for ourselves.
(08:15):
The enemy doesn’t want us to live in peace and trust God, but we can. We have the power through His word to have peace when life seems stressful. So I wanna close out this episode for y’all with a prayer. If you’re not driving, if you are driving, please keep your eyes open. But if you’re not driving, go ahead and close your eyes. And I will lead us in this prayer. Father, I just pray for the women listening to this episode that this message is coming to them at the perfect time. Lord, we know that when we stand with you, that you’ll guide us through everything and that we can cast our fears to You and You will hold us up and lift us higher than we could have ever imagined. Father, I pray that You give these women that are listening the courage and the strength to take that next step, whatever it is in their lives to become happier and to become more in alignment with You and the desire that are place on their heart, because those are from You, Lord. Father, we love You so incredibly much. And we know that You’ve got out back in Jesus name. Amen.
(09:28):
