(01:56):
All right, let’s dive into today’s episode. I wanna talk to y’all about the benefits of becoming a virtual assistant, because there are a lot, and I’ve tried to condense them down to the top five to really show you how amazing this is. If you’re listening to this show at all, you’re considering it. So I think this is really gonna help you make up your mind. The first benefit of becoming a virtual assistant is that you get to set your own pay virtual assistance, make anywhere between $25 an hour to $100 an hour. And the really, really amazing thing is you get to increase your pay whenever you want. There is no one out there telling you this is when you have to raise your prices.
(03:05):
You’re not allowed to raise your prices until you can do this, this, this. No. You get to decide. I typically recommend that new virtual assistance start out between $25 to $35 an hour. But as you get more confident in the services that you’re offering, as you develop more skills, you can very, very quickly raise those prices. It does not take long to get to that higher hourly rate. And again, you get to decide when that is for yourself. So if you say invest in a course, that helps you become an expert in a certain skill. Well, now you’re an expert. So even if you’re only a month into your business, you can raise those prices because you know what you’re doing and you should be charging what you’re worth. Okay? Yes. Raise. Those. Prices. Do not wait! I have so many people who are charging way less than they’re worth, and I don’t want you to do that.
(04:12):
Okay. Second benefit of becoming a virtual assistant is that you get to set your own schedule. This is a huge one. I know so many of you want to be home with your babies and have a business that works around your life and your kids’ lives and not your life working around your job. So this is a huge, huge benefit. You do wanna make sure that when you pick what services you offer as a virtual assistant, that you’re picking a service that is not time specific. So social media management is one that can be a little bit time specific as far as creating the posts and creating the graphics and whatnot. That’s not time specific, but if you’re scheduling the posts, you do need to make sure you’re on your client’s social media account. Shortly after the post goes up to make sure it actually went through and there were no issues.
(05:08):
And if you’re doing engagement for them, then you wanna make sure you’re doing that around the time that the post is actually going up, because that helps more people see the post. So that’s something you wanna consider, but most services are not time specific. Yes, there are deadlines, but you can work on the tasks for that service prior to the deadline. And there’s no specific time you have to be working. Now, the third benefit is that you get to decide what services you want to offer. There are over one-hundred different services you can offer as a virtual assistant way back in episode three, I covered some of those. So go back and listen to that. If you need some clarity on what those service options are, but you can also go take my free quiz. I have a short quiz. It’s gonna ask you a few questions about what you’re interested in, and then it will give you your result of what service it suggests you start with.
(06:07):
Now, this is not what you have to do. So I just wanna make that clear. If there’s something else that interests you by all means, go for that. I want you to be offering services that light you up, but this is just to give you a starting off point. So if you wanna take that quiz, head on over to ariannavernier.com/virtual-assistant-quiz. All right, benefit number four is that you get to decide who you want to work with. If you really want to continue working with teachers and being able to serve students, but outside of the classroom, you could choose to work with teacher owned businesses only. If you really love working with female entrepreneurs only, you can only work with female entrepreneurs. You get to decide. And if you get a client that you don’t like, you get to drop them. You don’t have to wait for them to fire you.
(07:06):
You can drop them and find someone else to take their place that you love working with. Do not stick with someone you’re unhappy with. There are so many client out there who will love you and value you, and that you can serve so fully. If you really believe in what they’re doing. Benefit number five of becoming a virtual assistant is that you can change your mind whenever the heck you want. So if you pick a service off the bat that you decide later, you know, I’m not really feeling offering the service. Maybe I don’t like social media management. Like I thought I would, you can switch, or maybe you thought you were going to like working with a certain type of business, but then you realize you didn’t, you can switch what your niche is. So that’s really, really crucial.
(07:57):
I want you to remember that you don’t have to stay unhappy. You get to run this business, how you want, and you get to change your mind if it’s not working for you. So let me recap real quick. These five benefits of becoming a virtual assistant. Number one is you get to set your own pay. Number two, you set your own schedule of when you work. Number three is decide what services you want to offer. Number four is you get to decide who you want to work with. And number five is you can change your mind whenever you want. All right, y’all I hope you love this episode. Make sure that you’re registered for the free workshop.
