(00:07):
Hey, y’all welcome back to another episode of quick tip Thursday here on the Ditch the Classroom podcast. Today’s question that I’m gonna be answering is, can I start working as a virtual assistant as a side hustle while I’m still teaching? I wanna tell you that this is totally possible. The really beautiful thing about becoming a virtual assistant is that you get to pick when you work and it doesn’t take a ton of time, but, or and, I should say it is crucial that you pick services to offer that are not time specific. So some examples of time specific services might be like social media management, because yes, you can schedule posts ahead of time for your clients, but you do kind of wanna be on their social media platform when the post goes up.
(02:04):
So you can make sure it went through okay, the formatting is all correct and everything like that. So that might not be necessarily a, a good service to pick upfront when you’re still teaching. Since it is a little bit more time specific, but there’s a lot of services out there that are not that time specific. And you might have like two, three weeks to get a project done. And then with those, you can totally fit that around your teaching schedule. So some examples of really good services to offer that are very easy to work around your teaching schedule is podcast management, email marketing, Pinterest management. Those are just some, but there are seriously so many that would work. So if you have a question about, would this service work with still teaching, come and drop it in our free Facebook community, facebook.com/groups/ditchtheclassroom.
(03:00):
Just drop that comment or that question in there for me. And I’ll be happy to answer it for you also. I just wanna let you know if you are trying to start your virtual assistant business while you’re still teaching. I have an episode series that I did here on the Ditch the Classroom podcast for y’all a little bit farther back it’s episode 105, 106, and 107. And it’s walking you through exactly how to start and become a virtual assistant with only five, 10 or 15 hours per week. So episode 105 teaches you how to start with only five hours a week, 106 teaches you how to start with ten and 107 teaches you how to start with fifteen. So you can find those just by searching the Ditch the Classroom podcast, wherever you’re listening. And I wanna let you know about a resource I have for you guys.
(03:50):
I have all of our podcast episodes listed out by category and really easy to find exactly what type of content you’re looking for. You can get access to that at digitalclassroom.com/vault V-A-U-L-T.
