Arianna Vernier: Hey y’all, I had a question recently that was submitted by somebody in the Facebook group asking if it’s possible to replace a six figure salary as a virtual assistant. So I’m here to answer that question. And my answer is yes, it is absolutely possible to replace your six figure salary as a virtual assistant. It’s probably not going to happen super, super fast, but it will if you give it the time that it needs to. I really recommend if you want to replace a six figure income quickly to pick a specialized skill. You want to make sure you’re picking a skill that’s actually going to help a business. Grow their business. If they are going to be able to land more clients, get more customers, make more sales from your service, they’re more likely to invest in that service. I know a lot of virtual assistants go in offering administrative services and that’s great.

It doesn’t really help your clients reach more people. However, things like social media management, podcast management, even copywriting, website design, marketing, definitely all of those different services help businesses reach even more people. It spreads their reach, it helps them communicate even better with their current customers so they get more sales. And it’s something that, again, businesses are going to be a lot more willing to invest a larger amount of money in because they’re going to get that return on investment. They might not really get that return on investment with just, you know, hiring an admin VA. So you want to make sure whatever skills and services you decide to specialize in are services that are going to actually help a business thrive.

You also want to make sure that whatever service you specialize in, it’s a recurring service. So, for example, website design is not a recurring service because I’m going to do a website for my client once. Maybe in a couple years they’ll come back and need another one. But I’m not going to be doing a website for that same client every single month, so I have to continually go and find new clients. You don’t want to have to be doing that if you’re trying to replace a six figure salary because your income then is going to be fluctuating and it’s going to be a little bit harder to make sure you’re hitting those income goals, those high income goals consistently. So you want to pick a service that you’re going to do for a handful of clients every single month for potentially years on end working with those same clients. So things like social media management, again, podcast management, copywriting, Pinterest management, again, the marketing. I’m trying to think of all the other ones that are not popping up in my head at the moment, but there are seriously so many services that can be done as a recurring service.

So if you have a question about whether a service can be done as a recurring service, you can post it in the Facebook community, but the answer is probably yes. I also highly, highly recommend going the package pricing route. A lot of new virtual assistants will charge hourly, but if you’re charging hourly, it’s going to be really hard for you to make enough money to replace that six figure salary because there’s not enough hours in a day for you to work and make that, and you don’t want to be working that much anyway. So when you charge package pricing, you don’t have to track your time, and you get to basically charge an extra fee for being skilled in that service. So clients are willing to pay that, and it doesn’t require you working a ton of time in order to make a decent So when you do package pricing, if you have a 2, 000 package, that you offer for clients.

All you need is four clients at that 2, 000 package and you’re making 8k a month, which is six figures. Or if you have a 1, 000 package, you just need eight clients a month. Okay. So you can break it down like that. See what your client goal is. See what your package prices are and figure out, you know, where those numbers need to meet in order to replace that six figure salary. All right. So I hope this answered y’all’s questions about If it’s really possible to make six figures as a virtual assistant, it 100 percent is. It does take time. It requires specializing in a skill or service that’s actually going to help businesses reach more people, make more sales, and they’re going to be more likely to hire you if they know that’s going to happen.
